4 piers for Thessaloniki | National architecture competition entry, 2011
Four water piers lead the visitors of the waterfront to panoramic platforms into the sea. These piers define rest areas and walking spaces as well as spaces for temporary resting or staring, redefining the relationship between human and the urban facade to the sea.
Being separated from the strict coastline, the amphitheatric squares form new artificial topographies. Primitive shapes are the beginning for architectural composition beyond the bounded city.
